This story happens in 2015. Chapter 1 Nicole stared at the clock. It was already too late for calling to Jesse, her boyfriend. She put the phone to the table, and went to Rebecca's room. Little Becky, like she used to call her, slept in her own little room so peacefully. ''Becky, sweetheart. Mommy loves you so much. But you already know that, don't you?'' Nicole said and gave her daughter a kiss. Rebecca was EJ and Nicole's 3 year old daughter, who lived with her mom in New York. She had a big sister, Afton who was 5 years, and who currently lived with their father, and his new wife Heidi. 5 years ago, when Afton was born, EJ already knew the truth about the switch, so she was conceived as a result of a dead relationship. EJ and Nicole got divorced before her birth and when she turned 2, she moved to the mansion with EJ. Permanently. Couple of years later EJ and Nicole tried to reconcile, and during that 6 month relationship, they conceived Becky. And again, they divorced before her birth, but this time, the child was left to her mother. Little Rebecca opened her big blue eyes and looked at her mother. ''Mommy?'' ''Yea.. It's me. Go back to sleep, it's still night.'' Nicole said quietly, and went back to the living room. She thought about Jesse and how their relationship was amazing. ''What we have, is so great! I love him and he loves me. He accepts me for what I am.. Geez, I can't let him go!'' Nicole thought as her phone started to ring. Who the hell it could've been? ''Hello'' she answered. ''Who is this?'' ''It's EJ! There is something wrong with Afton. Can you come here asap? Meet me at the Salem University Hospital!'' he said, and shortly hung up. ''Omg! Something's wrong with my baby girl! Omg, I gotta get there!'' Nicole went back to Becky's room, where the girl was again sleeping. ''Becky.. Your daddy just called, and told mommy that Afton is a little sick. We gotta leave to Salem right now. Mommy will call to the airport and at the meanwhile, you have to get dressed, okay?'' Nicole said, and help her tiny daughter to get up. ''Is Afton gonna die?'' Becky said and started to cry. ''Oh baby, she's not gonna die, it's probably nothing, but we have to go and see her. So.. Mommy gives you some clothes, and you get dressed. Okay?'' Nicole asked. ''Okay'' 15 minutes later Nicole had bought tickets to the next plane to Salem, and went to see Becky. ''Oh Becky, you're already dressed up!'' she said and smiled. The couple left the apartment and soon they were heading to Salem. Meanwhile in Salem, University Hospital ''Dr. Jonas! You know what's wrong with my daughter!?'' EJ shouted as Heidi grabbed his arm. ''I'm sorry but we don't know yet. We're trying to find it out. If you could just wait?'' Daniel replied, and went to Afton's room. EJ looked awful. His hair was all messed up, and his shirt missed a couple of buttons. ''Elvis. Darling. Why did you call you ex-wife here? Isn't it a little inappropriate? Don't you think? Heidi asked and sat down. ''Inappropriate? Are you kidding me Heidi? It happens to be Nicole's child there in case you didn't know that!'' EJ shouted and sat next to his wife. ''Afton's gonna be okay. You know that!'' Heidi tried, but it didn't work out. ''I know nothing. Nothing... I just want to have a healthy child. That's all'' At the hall, 8 year old Johnny and 6 year old Sydney were playing with their Nintendos. ''Do you think it's cool that Afton's in the hospital?'' Johnny asked as he closed the game. ''Cool? Why would it be cool? It's a sad thing if you're in hospital. Mom told me.'' Sydney replied and went to her daddy. ''Daddy! Is Afton gonna be okay? Why was she coughing blood?'' she asked. ''We don't know yet..'' EJ said back, and gave his daughter a kiss. ''I love you'' ''I love you too daddy.'' As the two were sweet talking to each other, a miserable looking woman stormed in, holding a sleeping toddler. ''Where is my daughter!? I have to see her!'' Should I continue it? You liked it, or was it horrible?  |

More > Nicole stormed in holding Becky in her arms. Their clothes were wet because it was raining outside. ''EJ! Where is Afton? Answer me!'' she shouted and put Becky to the sofa. ''She is in intense care. We don't know what's wrong with her. Yet, but Dr. Jonas promised that we will know it shortly. ''Dr. Jonas!? Are you kidding me? Is he really the only doctor you found! Seriously! He's like the worst doctor in the world!'' Nicole kept shouting. ''I didn't have that much time to search for the best doctor in the world. Do you think it was fun to watch our daugher cough blood? Of course I came to the nearest hospital! Idiot!'' EJ said back. ''Don't you call me an idiot.. What you..'' Nicole tried to say, but Heidi interrupted them. ''Sorry, but this is stupid. Your fighting I mean.'' Nicole looked at the brunette, tall, skinny woman who had origins from Germany. ''You.. What are you doing here? I don't think it's your child lying there fighting for her life!?'' Nicole bickered. ''Ladies! Doctor's coming'' EJ said, and pointed at Daniel. ''Okay.. Well we found out that she's only suffering from a bad flu.'' He said, almost laughing. ''A flu? Did I fly from New York at the middle of the night to see my daughter who has the flu?'' Nicole said and all of the sudden she felt normal again. The stress from having a seriously ill child was now gone. ''Thank god it's nothing else!'' Heidi said and stood up. ''Well EJ, it's already 2am, I think we, and the children should go. What do you think?'' EJ was looking at Becky. He hadn't seen her in months. ''I wanna spend tomorrow with Rebecca.'' he shortly said. ''What? But I.. It's.. we can't! I'm really busy with work. Our own NYC Fashion is having a fashion show, so we gotta be prepared. So no. You can't spend tomorrow with her. Sorry.'' Nicole said, and soon noticed Sydney at the corner of the room. ''Omg. Is that you Sydney?'' ''Yea. It's me? Are you Afton's mommy?'' she asked. '' Yea. I'm Nicole Walker. I'm Afton and Rebecca's mother.'' ''And when you were little, I was your mother too, she wanted to say, but she couldn't. ''Well, shall we go, Johnny? Sydney?'' Heidi shouted and opened the door. ''You have to sleep somewhere Nicole, and Rebecca too, and we do have extra rooms in the mansion, in case you would like to sleep in..'' EJ asked, but saw Nicole's negative face. ''Okay. You don't have to. Well.. I'll just call you tomorrow.'' Nicole was alone with Becky in a quiet waiting room. She thought about her relationship with Afton. She saw her daughter twice in a month and every time she came to Salem, Afton was with her friends. ''I have failed as Afton's mother. I have to fix that. I just have to.'' Nicole thought. Nicole decided to check on her daughter, and then go to a hotel. Next day would be a better day. She just knew it. |

This is an interesting idea! I like how you have EJ and Nicole periodically at odds and unable to stay together but unable to stay apart too. I like that it's a few years into the future as well, gives you a lot to work with. Good job! |

More > Nicole and Becky arrived the Salem Inn. They were both wet, and really tired. ''Mommy.. I wanna go back to sleep. I'm tired.'' Becky said with her quiet voice. ''I know you're tired baby, just hang on for ten short minutes, okay?'' ''Okay'' Nicole got a room from the first floor. The whole place smelled like mould, and all of the people were in their rooms, or then there were just no people. As the couple were finally in their room, Nicole's phone started to ring. ''Hello..'' she answered. ''Nikki? Where are you?'' a young voice said. ''Jesse! Omg why are you calling to me at 4am?'' Nicole asked. ''I miss you babe. I was wondering if you could come to my place today? I would cook, and you could bring Becky with you!'' ''Honey.. I'm not in New York. I had to fly to Salem because Afton got sick, but it turned out to be just a bad flu!'' Nicole said. ''Salem? Well okay I'll call you tomorrow, or.. you know! Bye!'' he said, and hung up. Nicole kept thinking of him. Jesse was a 25 year old guy who she'd met in a fashion show. Even though Nicole was 10 years older it didn't affect on their relationship at all! ''What a great guy he is! I'm so lucky'' Nicole said, and fell asleep next to her beautiful daughter. Next morning Becky and Nicole woke up late. They wore yesterday's clothes on, and just before getting breakfast, EJ called. ''Nicole. I know you don't agree with me on this, but I have to see Rebecca! It's been over a month since I last saw her! Do you think it's fair to her that she can't meet her own father!'' he said. ''I know, I know. And that's why I agreed on letting you spend today with Becky. Maybe we could go to the park together. You, me and the children?'' Nicole asked, and there was insecurity in her voice. It would be the first time she and EJ would spend ANY time together as a family in years. Nicole was nervous how he would react. ''Okay. So, me, you, Afton, Rebecca, Sydney, Johnny and of course Heidi! Sounds fine!'' he said excitedly! ''Heidi? Why her? I know that she's your wife, but...'' Nicole tried to say. ''No buts! Heidi is coming. Meet us in the park, you know the one what's next to Brady pub??'' ''Yea.. I know that. So we'll be there.. 2pm. See ya!'' Nicole said, and put the phone away. ''Well Becky. We're gonna spend today in Salem with your bigsys and daddy! Also Johnny and Sydney will be there! How does that sound?'' ''Okay..'' Becky answered and quickly turned her face away. ''Honey.. What's wrong? You don't wanna play with your siblings?'' Nicole finally asked, and her daughters eyes filled with tears. ''I'm the smallest. And I don't even know them properly. Every time I play with them, they only tease me, and tell that I'm not part of their group!'' Becky said and started to cry. ''Why.. why haven't you told me? Or daddy? Others are just being stupid! Because they're bigger they wanna show it, you understand! Don't care about them. You can play with me, if you don't wanna hang with the other kids?''Nicole asked. ''I wanna play with daddy. He's good at twister and monopoly.'' Becky said back and gave Nicole a sweet smile. ''Okay. You can play with your daddy, but now, lets grab something to eat!'' An hour later the whole gang was in the park. ''Rebecca! Come here'' EJ shouted, as his little girl ran to him. ''Daddy!!'' ''Hi mom! Can you come and sit next to me?'' Afton asked. ''Sure. What are we eating?'' ''Heidi made the best sandwiches EVER! They're tunawiches!'' Afton said, and laughed! Nicole started to think about Heidi and her place in the family. She was taking her place as Afton's mother, and that was absolutely a nono thing! ''Heidi's tunawiches. But why didn't you tell me to make some? I would've made those ham sandwiches you love!'' Nicole said. ''I don't like em anymore..'' Afton replied, and went back to Johnny and Sydney. Nicole felt like she had lost another daughter. Some bitch had taken her place, but not for long. She would get Afton to herself. One way or another. 2 hours later ''Hahah EJ, you gotta be kidding me!'' Nicole said and laughed. ''No, seriously! Sami and Rafe are living in France with Allie and Will, plus their infant son Patrick.'' ''How many kids that woman has?!'' Nicole asked and smiled. The evening had been a successful one. She had flirted with EJ the whole time, maybe because they'd drank 2 bottles of wine, and Heidi had to leave because she felt nauseous. The kids were just playing as the ex couple continued their sweet conversation. ''Why wont you move back to Salem with Rebecca?'' EJ asked. ''I can't. I have my own business. NYC Fashion, and it's getting really busy..'' Nicole said and her head fell on EJ's shoulder. ''I think you've had enough of that wine!'' EJ laughed. ''Maybe.. I've missed these tender moments..'' She said, but backed off when she realized where the things were going. ''We better leave, don't you think EJ?'' ''Yea.. I'm glad that cause you and Rebecca are sleeping in the mansion tonight, I can read her stories and give her a kiss goodnight!'' Edited by EJole, July 8, 2009, 11:29 am.

How many kids does Sami have, indeed? It's so interesting to see EJ and Nicole as a blended family with multiple kids and an awkward relationship. I could really see that. But I think Jesse and Heidi need to get together

You guys flirted through the day and every time I had something to say to you, you just told me to be quiet!'' Heidi said angrily and turned her back at EJ. ''Are you seriously saying that I spent the whole day with Nicole.. Flirting?'' EJ laughed but when he really thought about it, he realized what Heidi was saying, was true. The whole day, they'd flirted and once they almost kissed! Thank god Heidi had already left.. ''I'm sorry sweetheart if I made you upset. But there was really nothing going on between me and Nicole. We were just a little dipsy, that's all'' EJ said and smiled. ''Now I gotta check on the kids. I'll be right back!'' But oh no. EJ wasn't gonna check on the kids. He wanted to see Nicole. That warm feeling inside of him just kept growing as he entered her room. ''EJ! What are you doing here?'' Nicole asked and sat on the bed. ''I needed to see you. To talk to you.'' ''Talk. You know I'm really tired, and having someone...'' Nicole tried to say, but she was interrupted by a kiss. ''EJ!?'' she shouted but soon she realized she couldn't resist her handsome ex-husband. She kissed him back. For ten long minutes they just stared each other, until EJ spoke. ''Okay.. What the hell just happened?'' ''I know! That's called cheating! Cheater!'' Heidi shouted and ran off from the door. ''Oh crap..'' Nicole said, and put her head to between her knees. Things were about to turn bad.. ''Heidi! Wait! That wasn't.. That meant nothing!'' EJ tried, but Heidi wouldn't listen. ''I don't wanna hear ANY more words from you Elvis! All this time I've been just a rebound-girl huh! To replace your precious Nicole! Even during our first dates she was always the main topic! Always, and now I know why! Cause you never stopped loving her. Just waited for the right time to try again! I'm out!'' EJ stared at his pale wife who's cheeks were red of anger. He loved her, not Nicole.. He couldn't love Nicole. They'd been divorced for 3 years now. This little aberration meant absolutely nothing to him! Nothing! ''What have I done..'' Meanwhile Nicole went to check on the kids. Sydney, Afton and Becky were asleep, but Johnny had woken up. ''Nicole..? Is that you? I can't see you'' he said and scrabbled to the light. ''Yea, it's me. What are you still doing up? It's way past your bedtime.'' ''Well.. I heard Heidi shout.. It kinda wakened me up.'' Johnny said and sat on his bed. ''Are we gonna see Heidi anymore?'' ''I don't know. I think your daddy and Heidi need to talk, but I have no idea what will happen at the end.. Sorry.'' Nicole replied and gave Johnny a kiss goodnight. ''Now I really gotta go. Try to get some sleep, okay?'' ''Bye!'' Nicole closed the door quietly behind her, and went to check on EJ. She found him from her room. ''EJ. I am so so sorry for what just happened! I never wanted anything like this to happen!'' ''Don't apologize. It wasn't your fault. I was the one who kissed you at the first place'' EJ said and laughed. ''Well.. You think she's not gonna come back?'' ''Heidi? Oh well.. She's one of those who forgive.. nothing! I don't really know if I lost anything!'' ''Don't say that! Heidi is still your wife for heaven's sake!'' Nicole said. ''I don't wanna think about her right now. Maybe you could help me in thinking something else?''EJ asked and kissed Nicole. ''Oh.. Sure. Why not!?'' Nicole giggled as she fell to the bed. At the morning Nicole found herself lying next to EJ. She didn't have to guess what had happened. ''EJ? Are you awake yet?'' she quietly asked. ''Yea.. I am. Oh shit, the clock's already that much. I should be meeting a client in 30 minutes! Will you take Johnny to school in two hours, and then Afton and Sydney to the daycare?'' ''Yea, of course! You just go! I'll be just fine!'' Nicole replied. After EJ had came home, Nicole went immediately to him. ''EJ. We have to talk about... last night. What's gonna happen?'' ''Nothing. I talked to Heidi, and she agreed in continuing our marriage. So this was just a little aberration. And if someone asks. This never happened. Oh and by the way, I have my attorneys working on this custody thing. I want to have full custody on both of the girls.'' he said back and smiled. ''But now I really gotta run! I have a table reserved for to in Chez Rouge. Heidi's waiting! EJ left a stunned Nicole. She felted empty. For a second she thought that this thing could've grown into something big between her and EJ, but after hearing those ''this never happened'' words, her dreams on having a real family again, came crushing down. Things were looking really bad for her. |
