TALES FROM THE INTERVIEW DAYS's Alison Sweeney and Galen Gering (Sami and Rafe) Stephanie Sloane: After months of requests from "Safe" fans for a joint interview with DAYS's Alison Sweeney (Sami) and Galen Gering (Rafe), I thought the Valentine's Day issue would be the perfect spot for it. The upbeat duo chatted from Sweeney's dressing room at DAYS and it's clear the ease they have on screen comes from their friendship when the cameras aren't rolling...They also talked about their favorite scenes. "They can be nowhere and having the best time," Gering observed. "I loved when I took her on the picnic to the secret spot and talked about the constellations. We need to get back to that. I think we're ready for that." "I think the audience is, too," Sweeney added. "It was nice at Christmas that they had ways to be hopeful, like when he gave her a Christmas present and the 'party in a box' on New Year's that we laughed about for days. Yea, I am down for some more light hearted Safe moments too! Glad to hear that they are still together. Sounds like the best of friends...glad they enjoy each other so much and like working together. Thanks for posting. |

Even though I find Safe boring I believe that Sami and Rafe really do belong together. And I'm glad that Ej's manipulations don't keep them apart. |

I have nothing against Safe, but I do wish that the show would remember that lots of people aren't Sami fans and we resent Sami and Rafe being the only couple to get anything even halfway resembling the supercouple writing of the old days. What other couple am I supposed to be rooting for, especially now with Nicole off canvas? The only other couple that is getting the love/angst edit is Melanie and Nathan and I effing hate Melanie as much as I do Sami so I'm not going to be rooting for her/them either. |

I like that I know that at least one couple will work out their differences..and for me, its GREAT that its SAFE! How I would LOVE...LOVE..a good couple (SAFE) V bad couple (EJOLE) SL....that would soooo ROCK! |

That would be so cool to see a rivalry between Safe and Ejole. I really do hope that Nicole and Ej do get back together eventually. They just seem so right for each other. Sami is in love with Rafe, Ej needs to get past that and realise that Nicole is the one for him because in spite of all his misdeeds she is the only one who still loves him. Gosh I miss Nicole so bad. It's really depressing without her. I so can't wait till she returns. |

Add me to the list who want to see Safe vs. EJole. I love watching the whole good vs bad on soaps since I am always cheering for the underdogs which are the baddies, after all, they are the most entertaining with their crazy plans. I get and accept that every soap has one glittery good couple which is Safe for DAYS, and one twisted dark couple which is EJole for DAYS. So I say bring it on even though I am sure Safe's glitter will always trump EJole's tarnish....lol As to Nat and Mel, I really do like them together and think they are cute & sweet. I will never understand why they had to throw 30 some Phillip in the mix. |
