The only times that EJ did not appear to be a hot mess of insanity was 2008-2009 and that when Nicole was in his life. It just so heartbreaking remembering how happy EJ was with Nicole saying how he was always in darkness till she came into his life and become his sun. Now that Nicole is gone, he has reverted back to EJ of 2006, and he is consumed with darkness. It's so sad to see how all the positive in EJ's life has been erased, and he is back to being scum.

I agree! Nicole was the one to get through him and think about what consequences his actions might have on his family. I loved that about them. He would truly listen to her and their arguments always stemmed from a place of love- he was willing to listen because he loved her and she never judged his actions. So sad how pathetic he is now...just a shell of a man. I guess he was right when he said that Nicole took whatever little heart he had...maybe she can "calm the beast?" ^^ Awwwww that reminds me of July 10th Episode of EJole where Nicole did the impossible and got through to EJ about dropping the custody suit against Sami, and Nicole was in shock that she got through to EJ since that was the impossible..lol E.J.: Do you know what DiMeras hate more than anything else in the world? Admitting their wrong. Nicole: Well, I wouldn't know. I don't know one of those. E.J.: Yeah. You and Sydney changed everything. I mean, suddenly my actions have consequences. Consequences that are more important than my pride. Nicole: Are you saying... E.J.: I'm saying that I don't want to put my little girl through the trauma of a custody trial. Nicole: Wow. E.J.: Wow. You got through to me. Nicole: EJ, this has to be your decision. You have to do what you think is right. E.J.: I don't know if this is right, but I know it's safer. So I will--I will come to some arrangement with Samantha. Nicole: I am so proud of you. E.J.: Let me be clear on one thing. I will never forget what she did to me. And if anybody, anybody ever betrays me like that again, they will be punished. |

Aw, I was thinking of the same scene! I just re-watched it last weekend and it was so powerful. I loved how she stood up to him and really good acting from AZ and JS! |
