Juliette Monroe smiled ludacrisly for the camera, as the warm, ocean breeze flowed through her soft, honey blond curls, as she posed for a small modeling shoot she had been cast in for Hearth and Home by Kate Roberts. Her agent had managed to fit her in, at the last minute, and she had been more than thrilled to begin her modeling career. She saw her twin sister, Ophelia, reading the latest Nicholas Sparks' romance novel, completely ignoring her twin sister's big break. Juliette secretly became annoyed at her sister's ignorance towards Juliette's modeling, or anything she found important in her life. If it didn't involve academics, the environment, music, or family, Ophelia could not be bothered. The photographer announed she had five frames left, and Juliette struck her signature pose, which was smiling with her eyes, and pouting her Botox-injected lips. "That's a wrap!" Sanchez, the photographer announced, and kissed both of Juliette's cheeks. "Sensational ma cherie! Miss.Roberts will be pleased with your versatility!" "Merci Sanchez!" Juliette radiated with giddiness, as she pranced over to her sister, the sand sprinkling up above her tanned legs. "Ophelia! That was amazing!" "I'm so happy for you Juliette!" Ophelia hugged her sister. "You did an amazing job!" "Considering your nose was pointed in that book the whole time?" Juliette raised her eyebrow. "I watched a bit," Ophelia admitted, frowning slightly. "Let's go celebrate!" Juliette squealed. "This town of Salem has to have something fun to do on a Friday night." "I wish we were still in New York," Ophelia complained, as she picked up her book, and her straw purse. "I hate New York!" Juliette snapped, thinking of the day they buried their mother, as she committed suicide. It was the worst day of her life, and was more than willing to move to Salem, after their father had accepted a job as a partner at Mickey Horton's law firm. He had purchased a medium-sized house, one where he had hired a decorater to flourish in modern delacacies and vintage delights. "I miss the freedom of the city," Ophelia admitted. "Graduating from Columbia was amazing, but I don't know how I can put my major in English Literature to use here." "Become a teacher," Juliette suggested, glad she never choose to go to university. "Not challenging enough for me," Ophelia admitted. "Let's go visit Daddy at work!" Juliette's beautiful, ice-blue eyes suggested. Ophelia tried to fend off how Juliette had been blessed with her mother's silky, curly hair, her procelin, tiny facial features, her thin frame, and her height. Ophelia also had her mother's wavy blond hair, which she had dyed black back when she started College, and had never changed it. She also wore her hair in a short bob now, her eyes were her father's, brown, and her physique was heavy-set, considering the Freshman 15, or more like Freshman 45 had kept a permanent residence on her butt and hips. "Okay," Ophelia agreed, as Juliette jumped into her brand new Cadillac CTS, a gift from their father. Ophelia had been more sensible, and purchased an ECO-friendly Toyota Prius. Juliette blared the latest Flo Rida single, as they drove through the downtown core of Salem. Juliette pulled up in front of a modern-looking building, and Juliette stepped out, her Jimmy Choo's emphasizing her lean, tanned, long legs even more. Ophelia followed her, in her worn Ugg boats, and followed her into the building. Juliette breezed past the dense secretary, and made her way into her father's office. Ophelia hung back, worried she might interrupt a very important meeting. "Daddy!" Juliette entered the office, as she smiled at Mickey Horton and an unkown, sexy man who stood almost 6'5. "Juliette!" Reagan Monroe greeted his daughter. "How was your shoot, sweetie?" "Daddy, it was so amazing!" Juliette dazzled, as Mickey and the sexy man looked at her amused. "Hi Ophelia!" Reagan greeted his other daughters. "Mickey, EJ, these are my twin daughters, Juliette Desdemona and Ophelia Rosland." "You must be a Skakespeare fan," EJ smiled, and Reagan laughed. "My deceased wife was a Shakespeare buff," Reagan admitted. "When the twins were born, she had no choice but to name them after her beloved works of literature." "Very clever," EJ nodded, and he looked at Juliette and Ophelia. "I'm Juliette," she threw herself at EJ DiMera. "Nice to meet you Mr.DiMera." "Hi," EJ shook her hand, and glanced over her shoulder at Ophelia. "Othello was my favourite of Shakespeare's plays. Ophelia is a beautiful name." "Thank you," she blushed. "So EJ, where are the hopping places in Salem?"Juliette flirted with him. "Well, there is either Brady's Pub or the Cheating Heart or Chez Rouge, or the Java Cafe," EJ informed her, a look of amusement in his dark, brown eyes. "Well, which one would you like to take me to tonight?" Juliette batted her eyes at him, and Ophelia rolled her eyes. "Actually, tonight, I am babysitting my son Gianni and his twin sister Allie," Ej informed her. "EJ, we have the meeting with our new clients, Courtland Manufacturing this evening," Mickey Horton reminded him. "Oh yes," EJ rubbed his head. "Samantha is currently in the safe house, and I refuse to leave the twins with Nicole once again. I will try to see if Caroline can take the twins." "Ophelia can baby-sit," Reagan suggested. "She's wonderful with children." "That would be a wonderful help," EJ smiled at Ophelia, who still hadn't spoken a word. "Sure, no problem," Ophelia managed to croak out, and Juliette rolled her eyes. Hot, sexy man had children, That was a done deal for her. She was not ready to play house... ******************************************************* "I really appreciate you watching the twins for me this evening," EJ spoke to Ophelia, as they drove over to the DiMera mansion. "It's hard to find baby-sitters at the last minute, especially the twin's mother is in the witness protection program. I shouldn't have told you that. I'm sorry." "Don't worry, Mr.DiMera, I will not say anything," Ophelia promised. "Thank you, and please call me EJ," EJ smiled at her. "Okay," Ophelia managed a small smile. "How old are Gianni and Allie?" "They are almost one," EJ replied, as he pulled up in front of the largest mansion Ophelia had ever seen. She was a bit stunned at the magnificance of it all. "Gianni is very quiet, but Allie is feisty like her mother. They are already walking." "No problem," Ophelia assured him, as EJ came over to open the car door for her. She smiled lightly, and thanked him. She followed him up to the front door, noticing a police car parked in the driveway. "We are under police protection for 24/7," EJ explained. "Don't worry. My father, Stefano, should be around, as well, as my friend, Nicole. She is pregnant with my child." "Okay," Ophelia nodded, as EJ noticed she didn't seemed fazed by anything he told her. He unlocked the key to the mansion, to find Nicole curled up on the couch, sipping tea, as Stefano babbled on about his new grandchild to Nicole. Mary, the twins' nanny, looked at her wit's end, as Gianni and Allie walked in different directions. "Oh EJ, you're home!" Nicole's face lit up, and then frowned when she saw the strange woman beside her. "Who is that?" "This is Ophelia Monroe, the twin's baby-sitter for the evening," EJ informed Nicole. "I have a business meeting tonight." "I can watch the twins," Stefano insisted. "Samantha has strictly prohibited you from watching Allie while she is away," EJ reminded him. "Dada!" Gianni screamed, and toddled towards her father. "God, Sami is locked away!" Nicole stood up. "Must she be mentioned every waking moment?" "Hi," Allie crawled over to Ophelia and looked up at her. "How sentimental," Nicole observed Allie. "She won't come near me at all." "Hi Allie," Ophelia crouched down to her level. "How are you? Are you building a tower?" Allie smiled, and pointed at the stack of blocks that was laid out of the floor. Allie put her hand in Ophelia's and led her over to the carpet. "Dada, play," Gianni took his father's hand, and led him over towards he carpet. "For a moment, son," EJ promised, and he sat down on the carpet with Ophelia and Allie, and they built a tower in record time, until Gianni knocked it down, and squealed. "EJ, I need some water," Nicole urged him, a bit jealous of Ophelia. "Okay, I'll go get it," EJ replied, and he left the room quickly. "So, where did you come from? The Y?" Nicole asked Ophelia, amusedly. "I came from NYC," Ophelia replied, not getting Nicole's bad joke. "My father, Reagan Monroe, is a partner at EJ's law firm." "How quaint," Nicole rolled her eyes. "Ophelia, from Othello," Stefano sipped a glass of wine. "What a brilliant name." "I told her the same exact thing," EJ entered the room, handing Nicole a glass of water. "I must go. Ophelia, the twins have already eaten dinner Mary just informed me, so a bedtime story, and they will be ready for bed." "Okay sounds great, EJ," Ophelia nodded. "When will you be back Sweetie?" Nicole moaned, and EJ looked at her. "Soon," EJ promised her, as Ophelia became slightly irritated. Nicole was too dramatic and whiney for her taste. "Mommy wants a kiss," Nicole cooed, and EJ kissed her quickly, and Ophelia rolled her eyes. Nicole caught Ophelia's little display of rudeness, and as soon as Stefano left the room with EJ she looked at her. "Don't ever roll your eyes at me again." "Oh please," Ophelia picked up Allie, and took Gianni's hand. "You have him wrapped around your little finger. It's so obvious." "That's right," Nicole admitted. "I'm having his baby, you idiot. We are going to get married someday." "Good luck with that," Ophelia took the twins out of the way. "You're just jealous," Nicole snapped back, and Ophelia ignored her. She read the twins a bed time story, and they curled up in their tiny, toddler beds. Gianni went right to sleep, but Allie took a while to settle down. After some coaxing with a teddy bear and a glass of water, Allie fell asleep, and Ophelia yawned herself. Allie cuddled up beside Ophelia, and Ophelia fell asleep with her. EJ approached the twins bedroom a few hours later, to find Ophelia cuddling with Allie, as they both slept. He smiled at the scene. "Ophelia," EJ whispered her name softly. Ophelia's eyes fluttered open. "I'm home." "Hi," Ophelia smiled, as she gently tucked in Allie. "Sorry for falling asleep." "Oh, no problem at all," EJ assured her with a smile. "Allie usually needs someone to fall asleep with her before bed." "They are both angels," Ophelia observed, as EJ handed her a hundred dollar bill. "Oh no, please, I don't want to be paid. I insist, please. I enjoyed myself." "I feel uncomfortable doing that," EJ replied. "Please, EJ, if you ever need a baby-sitter, let me know," Ophelia assured him. "Trust me, I have lots of time on my hands." "Well, thank you," EJ smiled at her honesty. "Can I offer you a drink?" "Sure," she agreed. She waited as EJ kissed Gianni and Allie good night, and then followed him outside the room. She waited as he checked on Nicole, and then she followed him downstairs in the parlour room. "What would you like?" EJ asked her. "White wine would be just great please," Ophelia replied, as she wondered over to the library. "Wow, your father has a lot of classic literature. Jane Austen is amazing." "Borrow anything you like," EJ insisted, as he handed her a glass of wine, and sipped a glass of scotch himself. "Really?" Ophelia's eyes lit up. "I will keep them in perfect condition. I love Pride and Prejudice. I know I've read it 7 times, but the novel is just amazing." "Not as good as the movie," EJ smiled, as Ophelia took out the book, and looked it over with such joy. "No, movies never justify the novel," Ophelia sipped her wine, and sat down on the leather couch. "This house is immaculate." "It's more of a lyre," EJ commented. "My father keeps it in pristine shape. A lot of artifacts from the history of our family." "It's good to remember your legacy," Ophelia agreed. "When my mom was alive, she treasured family pictures and momentos. Our house was so vibrant and alive. Now, there is nothing up. Dad doesn't like to be reminded of my mother's death." "I'm sorry for the loss of your mother," EJ comforted her. "Thanks," Ophelia nodded thoughfully. "My mom and I weren't very close. Juliette was her favourite. Juliette was her pride and joy." "I bet your the apple of your father's eye," EJ assured her, and Ophelia smiled. "Daddy always admired my dedication to my studies, and my sharp mind," Ophelia agreed. "EJ!" Nicole appeared, looking distressed. "Why is she still here? Do you know she sassed me? She said I have you wrapped around my little finger! Fire her EJ! She can't come into our house and say that to me! I will not tolerate it!" "Nicole, calm down," EJ replied embarrassed, as Ophelia. "I'm sorry," Ophelia offered, feeling like an idiot. She should have kept her month shut. "Fire her EJ," Nicole insisted. "She is causing me stress, and stress is not good for our baby." "Nicole, Ophelia is an excellent baby-sitter," EJ replied. "I will not fire her, because she is watching my son and Allie. This situation with Ophelia does not concern you, and I would appreciate if you stayed out of the decisions I make about Samantha and I's twins." "Samantha, bloody Hell!" Nicole shrieked. "I'm so tired of you saying her name!" "Nicole, this is enough," EJ insisted. "What do you need?" "I want you to fire her!" Nicole snapped, glaring at Ophelia. "I am going to call my father to pick me up," Ophelia stood up. "I'm sorry for any problem I caused." "Fire her!" Nicole cried. "No Nicole," EJ snapped back, as Ophelia slipped out the door. "Go to bed. You are way out of line." "Am I?" Nicole glared at him. "Why are you down here having drinks with the twins baby-sitter? You are supposed to be with me." "We are not together Nicole," EJ reminded her. "I am taking care of you and our child, that is it." "So, all that crap about a white picket fence was just a game?" Nicole shrieked. "No," EJ became irritated. "If you keep acting like this, we will not have any future whatsoever Nicole. Now, please go." He left Nicole in the livingroom, and ran out the door, after Ophelia. "My dad is coming," Ophelia informed him. "I'm sorry about that," EJ apologized. "No, Nicole's right," Ophelia insisted. "I shouldn't have said she had you wrapped her little finger." "Well, it's the truth," EJ replied, and Ophelia blushed. "THank you Ophelia. I enjoyed your company this evening. May I call you?" "Yes, for baby-sitting," Ophelia smiled, and she gave EJ her cell number. "Call anytime." "I will," EJ winked at her, as she saw her father pull up. EJ patted her back, and went back into the house. Ophelia smiled, for the first time since her mother's death, and thought that living in Salem might not be too bad.... |

"Ophelia, you are the Mother Teresa of our family," Juliette Monroe rolled her eyes, as she sipped her latte the next day at the Java Cafe. "You are always saving people and animals. It's really kind of pathetic." "Not as pathetic as using men for their money," Ophelia pointed out. "Men with money deserved to be played," Juliette replied, remembering what her mother had taught her. "Men should feel gratified to be seen with me." "I'm sure all men worship every inch of your pretty little body," Ophelia sighed, as she thumped through the latest edition of Juliette's issue of Cosmo. "Don't hate," Juliette reminded her. "I can help you Ophelia. Dye your hair blonde like me. Get some hair extensions. Lose some weight. You'll get any man you want." "My life plan, to be a carbon copy of you," Ophelia rolled her eyes, standing up. "Excuse me. The real world is calling me. I'm going to find a job." "Whatever," Juliette rolled her eyes, as she saw EJ DiMera enter the door. "Ophelia, hi," EJ greeted her, as Juliette frowned when he didn't even look at her. "Thanks for baby-sitting last night. I'm sorry things were a little bit of out hand with Nicole. It will not happen again." "I shouldn't have said anything," Ophelia assured him. "I shouldn't have insulted your wife." "Oh, she's not my wife," he responded quickly. "She is carrying my child. I am just taking care of her." "Nice story," Juliette looked amused, pissed he was ignoring her, and EJ looked at her for the first time. "Don't mind her," Ophelia rolled her eyes. "Juliette's botox in her lips goes to her brains at moments." "Ophelia! Wow!" Juliette beamed. "Finally, you are displaying some of daddy's back bone. EJ, she never stands up for herself! You must give her that little magic sparkle she needs to not be so prim and prissy." "Okay, anyays, Ophelia, I was wondering if you avaliable for a few weeks?" EJ asked, glancing at his watch. "Mary has been called away on some family business, and with the upcoming courtcase for Courtland Manufacturing, I really could use a full time nanny." "Oh, I would love to!" Ophelia smiled brightly. "You're a life saver," EJ thanked her. "How about you come over tonight, we can have dinner and discuss the twins schedule?" "Sounds great," Ophelia agreed, as EJ's cell phone rang, and he excused himself... "We have a dinner guest this evening Ralph," EJ DiMera informed his father's butler. "So, please set the table for four plus the twins." "Lucas came to pick up Allie about an hour ago," Nicole announced, walking into the kitchen. "Who's our dinner guest?" "The twins' new nanny," EJ replied, as he sipped some chardonnay. "Ophelia Monroe." "But EJ, she sassed me!" Nicole complained. "I do not want her taking care of our baby!" "Our baby is not born yet," EJ reminded her. "But Gianni is my son, and Lucas and Samantha have asked me to watch over Allie when Lucas is at work." "Hire someone else," Nicole suggested. "No, my decision is final," EJ replied. "Besides, Nicole, how are you? How is our child?" "The baby keeps kicking," Nicole replied, smiling at him. "I'm in desperate need of some loving." "Nicole, our relationship is strictly platonic," EJ reminded her. "We both agreed that we would keep the interests of our child's first." "But EJ, I just want to-," she leaned over to kiss him, when the doorbell rang. "Excuse me," EJ excused himself, and Nicole frowned. "Hello Ophelia. Welcome." "Hi," Nicole heard the little pipsqueak's voice in the hallway. "Wow, it smells wonderful in there." "Rolf is a wonderful cook," EJ replied, as Nicole walked into the grand entrance way. "Hi EJ," Juliette Monroe appeared, wearing a slinky, red Calvin Klein dress and the new Mano Blanic pumps. "I hope it's okay I brought my sister along," Ophelia replied anxiously. "She was bored." "Not anymore," Amusement played on her lips, as she caught sight of the statesque blond in the hallway, obviously expecting. "You must be EJ's baby mama.' "Excuse me, I am anyone's baby's mama," Nicole retorted. "I am Nicole Walker, the soon-to-be mother of EJ's child." "Same thing," Juliette rolled her eyes. "Excuse EJ, who is this?" Nicole snapped. "Allow me to introduce myself," Juliette sashayed over to Nicole. "I am EJ's new woman. We had sex last night. I suspect I'll be carrying his seed soon as well." "Juliette!" Ophelia's mouth dropped open, and so did everyone else's. "Just kidding," Juliette winked at Nicole. "See these hips? I will never torture my body carrying a bratty little kid." "Ladies, let's have some wine," EJ suggested, and Ophelia quickly followed EJ into the kitchen. "My twin sister is not very, let's say, exciting, alluring, or c'est magnifique," Juliette commented to Nicole. "I, however, am the polar oppossite. I have to give you credit though. Sacking a hot man like him, and getting yourself knocked up in the process, girl, you deserve a roud of applause." "We made love, you idiot," Nicole snapped. "Yeah right," Juliette snarled. "Wine, sex, and no condoms will always results in your pathetic attempt at getting a man like EJ. I have seen it so many times. Girl from the wrong side of the tracks prays on rich, sweet businnes man, and then gets herself knocked up to give her what daddy never did. It's a cute story, but it's overplayed." "You have a lot of nerve," Nicole shrieked, and she slapped Juliette across the face. "Bitch, if you weren't pregnant-," Juliette glared at her. "Eveything alright in here?" Rolf appeared. "Yes, everything is great Rolf," Nicole smirked at Juliette. "Honey, I've seen more than you will never see. Don't mess with me. Don't consider that a warning, by the way." "Oh, is that a threat?" Juliette laughed. "Oh please, you are pathetic. Excuse me Rolf, is it? May I please have a vodka straight up?" "Yes miss," Rolf replied, as Juliette followed him into kitchen, where EJ was overseeing the layout of the table, and Ophelia was sipping some wine, as she smiled down at Gianni, who was sleeping in his playpen. "Where did you find that tramp?" Juliette asked EJ. "I think you could do way better Mr.Dimera." "The mother of my child is not a tramp," EJ reminded her. "I will ask you show some respect for my her, or you can leave." "She slapped me across the face," Juliette informed him. "You deserved it," Nicole shot back. "She basically called me a slut, EJ." "Juliette, stop stressing Nicole out," Ophelia walked over. "I'm sorry Nicole. Juliette will leave." "It's okay," Nicole managed a small smile. "We worked it out." "Let's have some dinner, shall we?" EJ suggested, as Juliette rolled her eyes, as EJ whispered to Nicole. "Juliette, stop being such a bitch," Ophelia whispered to her. "I really want this job." "Fine," Juliette agreed, as they sat down for dinner. "So, what is it that made your daddy want to move you here?" Nicole asked the twins, as she started cutting up the delicious dinner Rolf had laid in front of her. "Our mother killed herself," Juliette informed them. "Juliette!" Ophelia shrieked, tired of her sister airing their family dirty laundry. "She's dead Ophelia," Juliette rolled her eyes. "Get over it." "You are just-just so insensitive and rude," Ophelia felt tears come to her eyes. "I told you how much this job means to me, and you continue to ruin it for me, as you have ruined everything for me, our whole entire life." "Oh Ophelia, you are such a drama queen," Juliette rolled her eyes. "It's not my fault I got all the Looks and charm in the family." "You are just a bitch," Nicole glared at Juliette. "Nicole," EJ glared at her, as Ophelia stood up. "Excuse me," Ophelia excused herself from the table. She escaped into the parlour, only to run into EJ's father, Stefano DiMera. "I'm sorry. I was just looking for the washroom." "Ophelia Monroe," Stefano spoke to her. "Welcome. I am a good friend of your father's." "Hello Mr.DiMera," Ophelia tried to compose herself. "You have a magnificant mansion." "Thank you," Stefano thanked her, as he took a sip of his whiskey. "The washroom by the parlour stairs. I am very content you will be watching over my grandson." "Thank you," Ophelia managed to smile. "Ophelia?" EJ appeared at the door, surprised to find her talking to his father. "Father, hello. Ophelia, are you okay?" "I'm okay, thanks, and EJ, I am sorry about Juliette," Ophelia apologized. "I shouldn't have brought her." "Don't apologize for your sister's actions," EJ assured her, as Nicole appeared. "Your sister is awful," Nicole informed Ophelia. "That smack I gave her, she definitely deserves." "I'm leaving," Juliette appeared. "EJ, call me if you are looking for a good time, instead of bedding with a washed up porn star." "Excuse me?" Nicole shrieked. "Oh, I've seen your movies, Misty, but you aren't as good as you might think you are," Juliette winked at her. "Good night all." "The nerve of her!" Nicole cried. "EJ, how can you let her talk to me that way?" "Nicole, it's okay, sweetheart," EJ replied, as he went after Juliette. "Hey, wait a minute. I want to talk to you for a minute." "Oh really?" Juliette batted her eyelashed at him. "You are the most rudest and impolite woman I have ever met," EJ spoke to her angrily. "Not only do you insult the mother of my child, but you insult your own sister. You are cruel. You are no longer welcome here." "Oh spare me your little defensive rants," Juliette smirked at him. "My sister is a pathetic has-been and you're dating a porn star. Have fun hanging out with the lowlifes of society, EJ." Juliette rolled her eyes, and walked out the door... |

"Daddy, I want to move out," Ophelia announced to her father the next day. "Juliette was completely rude last night to Mr.DiMera, and he asked me to be his full time nanny." "Why don't you just move in with the DiMeras?" Reagan told his daughter, barely looked up from his paperwork. "Daddy, you aren't even paying attention to me!" Ophelia cried. "Ophelia, I'm tired, I'm busy, and I don't have the time to deal with your silly little problems with Juliette," Reagan snapped at her. "Juliette is doing amazing at her modeling, just like Mom wanted. We sent you to Columbia, and you graduate, are offered a position at Harvard Law. Then, I find out through a letter in the mail today you turned down your acceptance. How can you be so stupid Ophelia? I am very disappointed in you! You are messing up your life!" "Juliette never even went to university!" Ophelia snapped back. "She models! I have masters degree in English Literature from Columbia University!" "So what?" Reagan glared at her. "You are doing nothing with your life. Go ahead and waste your degree on becoming a lowlife job like a nanny!" "Daddy!" Tears formed in her eyes. "How can you be so cruel?" "You are a big disappointment!" Reagan told up. "Then, pack up and leave Ophelia. Come see me when you've grown up!" Ophelia whirled around, wiping the tears from her eyes. She quickly packed her suitcases, and headed out the door, feeling more alone than ever... ************************************************** Ophelia entered Brady's Pub, with her luggage carrying behind her. She was tired, and she was still upset after the way her father had treated her. She entered the pub, to find Nicole and EJ having dinner with Nicole and Gianni. She quietly tugged on her sunglasses, and her toque, and approached the bar. She walked into the bar, and headed over to the bar. She sat down on a stool. She saw the bartender named Max. "What can I get for you?" Max asked her. "Some white wine," Ophelia replied, as she took off her sunglasses, but her back towards EJ's table. "Please." "Here you go," Max set down her glass of wine. "Are you new in town? Never seen you before." "I just moved her with my father and twin sister," Ophelia replied. "I'm Ophelia Monroe." "Max Brady, nice to meet you," he shook her hand. "Hey Max, do you mind warming up this bottle for Gianni please?" EJ appeared beside Ophelia. "Sure, no problem," Max took his great nephew's bottle. EJ glanced to his right, and noticed Ophelia sitting there. "Ophelia, are you okay?" EJ asked her, as he noticed her luggage. "I'm okay," Ophelia managed to say. "Why do you have luggage here? Are you going away?" EJ asked, concerned. "No, my father kicked me out," Ophelia admitted, as tears filled her eyes. "He said I was a failure. He is mad because I turned my acceptance to Harvard Law School, but I don't want to follow in his footsteps. Sorry." "I'm sorry Ophelia," EJ comforted her. He embraced her, and she relaxed in his arms. "Come and stay at the DiMera mansion. You are the twins' nanny now anyways. I would love to have you there." "I couldn't intrude," Ophelia replied. "I would like to come and stay," EJ assured her. "We are just finishing up our dinner." "Thanks, I appreciate it," Ophelia smiled at him. "Nicole, Ophelia is moving into the mansion," EJ informed her. "Okay," Nicole agreed. "Ophelia, we got off on the wrong foot. I'm sorry for anything I've done to upset you." "I'm sorry as well," Ophelia smiled, and they headed back to the DiMera mansion... Ophelia held a sleeping Gianni, as they walked up to the DiMera mansion. Nicole was following EJ sleepily, as EJ put his key into the doorway. He was also pulling Ophelia's luggage. Nicole entered the DiMera mansion, and almost stood frozen. EJ's eyes also grew wide, as they saw who was sitting in their livingroom. "Hi EJ," Sami Brady, smiled as she held Allie, and sat with Rafe. "Honey, I'm home. You can leave now Nicole." "Samantha," EJ rushed towards her. "How are you?" "Lovely," Nicole rolled her eyes, and her eyes widened as she saw Sami's baby bump. "EJ, I'm pregnant with your baby," Sami announced to him. "What?" Nicole shrieked. "This can not be happening! Sami stop lying!" "Samantha, oh sweetheart, are you serious?" EJ approached her. He embraced her, and Sami allowed him to hug her, as her eyes settled on Ophelia holding Giani. "Who are you?" Sami asked Ophelia. "This is Ophelia Monroe," EJ introduced her to Sami. "Ophelia is going to move in and help take care of Allie and Gianni." "Okay," Sami smiled at Ophelia. "Oh, this is Rafe. My FBI Agent." "Thanks for keeping Samantha safe and our baby safe in the safe house," EJ thanked him. "You're welcome," Rafe smiled back. "However, Mr.DiMera, I will be staying here for an undisclosed amount of time." "Wonderful," Nicole sighed. "How exactly is this going to work?" "You are leaving," Sami informed her. "Samantha, Nicole is carrying my child," EJ reminded her. "She is staying." "Lovely," Sami rolled her eyes. "EJ, let's go to bed," Nicole suggested. "I'll be up in a minute," EJ assured her. "I can take Gianni and Allie up to bed, Ophelia," Sami smiled at her. "Thanks for all your help with the twins since I've been gone. I am hoping you might consider sticking around with the new baby comes." "Here, Sami, I'll help you," Rafe took Allie from her, and they all headed upstairs, leaving EJ alone with Ophelia. "Wow, full house," Ophelia commented, as she noticed tears in EJ's eyes. "Hey, what's wrong?" "I can't believe she never told me, she was pregnant," EJ sat down on the couch, his head in his hands. "How can she keep our baby from me? I've loved that woman for so long. I don't understand how she can betray me this way." "EJ, I'm sorry," Ophelia sat beside him. "I wish I could fix this for you." "I'm happy to have two new babies coming," EJ replied. "You're a great father," Ophelia assured him. It broke her heart to see these women being cold to him. "EJ, continue being a wonderful father you are. Worry about your children." "You're the first person in a long time to tell me I'm a good father," EJ informed him, and EJ looked at Ophelia. She blushed, and looked away. EJ gently pushed a piece of hair out of her face. Ophelia turned towards him. He reached into kiss her, and Ophelia stopped him. "EJ, I want to keep this strictly professional," Ophelia jumped away. "I'm sorry," he sighed. "I'm sorry Ophelia. It just felt right." "EJ, I want to do a good job here with the twins," Ophelia replied. She disappeared from the room to run into Rafe. "Hey," he greeted her. "I'm Rafael, but you can call me Rafe." "Hi, I'm Ophelia," she shook his hand. Ophelia saw Sami appear, and disappear to talk to EJ.... Edited by BachelorFan, Dec 2 2008, 12:46 AM.

Ophelia Monroe awoke the next morning, to hear Allie screaming from her bedroom. She jumped out of her bed, and found EJ comforting Allie. EJ blushed when he saw Ophelia, and she blushed as well. She didn't know what to say. She had replayed what had happened the night before when Ej had almost kissed her. She had stopped him because she wanted to do well as nanny of the twins. Ophelia backed away towards the door. "Ophelia, don't leave," EJ spoke softly, as EJ soothed Allie, and she hugged her father tight. "You seem uncomfortable. I am truly sorry about last night." "EJ, it's okay, I wanted to kiss you as well," she admitted. "It's just the house is so overwhelming." "It's going to just even more complicated," EJ answered, as he placed Allie in her bed. "I am hoping we can be friends." "Of course," Ophelia smiled, as she saw Nicole appear, looking distraught. "Who knew Trent could still haunt from me from his grave?" Niocle had tears in her eyes. "Hi Ophelia. EJ, can I talk to her?" "I'll take Allie down for breakfast," Ophelia picked up Allie, and brought her down to the kitchen. "EJ, I have a secret," Nicole explained to him, and she sat down on the bed. "I became pregnant twenty three years ago. I had twin girls. I gave them up for adoption. A business man and his wife in New York adopted them-." "Wait a minute-," EJ interrupted her. "EJ, I was young, barely a teeanger, and Trent was so abusive," Tears filled her eyes. "I even called them names. They were so adorable with blond hair and blue eyes." "Nicole, Ophelia and Juliette are adopted," EJ announced. "Reagan Monroe, their adopted father told me. They just moved from New York. Juliette and Ophelia do kind of look like you." "Really? Omigod!" Nicole cried. "I have their adoption papers here." "Open up and find out," EJ assured her, as tears formed in her eyes. Nicole's widened in joy, as she realized she was indeed Ophelia's and Juliette's birth mother. Their father was Trent Robbins. "They are my daughters," Nicole whispred. "Oh EJ, this is amazing. I have two daughters, and a baby on the way." EJ nodded, and thought about when he almost kissed Ophelia the night before. "Are you going to tell Ophelia?" EJ wanted to know, and Nicole frowned. "I don't want her to be disappointed in having me as a mother," Nicole frowned. "EJ, what should I do?" "Tell her now," EJ suggested, realizing his child that Nicole was carrying had two sisters... "Ophelia, can I talk to you for a moment please?" Nicole approached her daughter cautiously. "I wouldn't bother Ophelia," Sami commented sarcastically, as she breakfast with Rafe, Ophelia, and the twins. "She is just a waste of time." "Samantha, Nicole has something important to tell Ophelia which is quite important," EJ announced, walking into the kitchen. "Ophelia, are you adopted?" Nicole asked her, very nervous. "Yes," Ophelia replied. "Juliette and I were adopted when we were babies. A teenager gave birth, and it was a private adoption." "Well, I am-I am your birth mother," Nicole blurted out, tears in her eyes. "You were both so beautiful. I was married to an awful man. He was abusive and I didn't want to raise you or Juliette in that situation." "Really?" Ophelia eyes grew wide. "Wow, I've always watched to find my birth mother." Ophelia walked over to Nicole, and gently hugged her. "I've always thought of you and Juliette," Nicole felt tears come to her eyes. "I love you, my daughter." "Mom, I am so happy to finally find you," Ophelia smiled brightly. "I always dreamed this day would come." "Oh sweetheart, I am so happy to find you and Juliette," Nicole smiled, as tears formed in her eyes. "I'm excited you're having a baby," Ophelia smiled brightly. "I've always wanted a little sister or brother." "Welcome to the family," EJ smiled at her. "Could I talk to you for a moment?" "Sure EJ," Ophelia followed him into the hallway, as Sami looked literally shocked. "Well, Nicole, looks like you have three children now," Sami commented sarcastically. "I feel sorry for all your children." "Save it Sami," Nicole rolled her eyes. "Your comments are getting old." "Mommy, I'm finished!" Allie announced proudly. Nicole smiled, never being more content in her life... *************************************************** "Ophelia, I just wanted to apologize again for the other night," EJ looked stressed. "EJ, it's okay," Ophelia assured him. "Are you planning on marrying my mother?" "Well, I am not sure," EJ looked at her, and he saw Nicole in her. "Okay," she smiled. "I hope you do get married. My mother loves you very much. I would be honoured to your stepdaughter." "Not stepdaughter, consider me your father," EJ smiled, and he hugged her. "Oh thanks so much," Ophelia smiled brightly. "I never realized why I didn't fit in, but now I know why!" "I have to get going to work," EJ informed Ophelia. "Have a good day with the twins, and your mom!" "Okay thanks EJ," Ophelia smiled brightly. "Or Dad, you can call me Dad," he smiled at the 19-year-old girl in front of him. "Okay Dad," Ophelia smiled, as Sami walked into the hallway, at the precise moment EJ called Ophelia 'dad'. "Dad?" Sami raised her eyebrow. "Why are you calling EJ 'Dad'?" "Because I am going to petition to adopt Ophelia as my daughter," EJ informed her, and Sami's eyes widened. "Why?" Sami looked upset. "Her father is..." "My father is dead," Ophelia told Sami, her eyes become upset. "My adopted father wants nothing to do with me." "You're not EJ's daughter," Sami insisted. "EJ's daughter?" Nicole appeared, as Rafe carried Gianni. "Nicole, I would like to adopt Ophelia as my daughter," EJ informed her. "Oh EJ, that would be amazing," Nicole's eyes filled with tears. "Then, we would two daughters, possibly three if Juliette accepted me as her mother." "EJ, do you realize this is a stupid idea?" Sami spoke up. "You have one son already, and 2 babies on the way. Why would you adopt 2 adults who aren't even yours?" "Because every child deserves a father Samantha," EJ snapped at her. "And besides, this is none of your business." "Sami, this is really none of your business," Rafe spoke up. "I think it's really nice of EJ to adopt Ophelia." "What's going on?" Stefano's voice boomed, causing everyone to jump. "Father, Ophelia is Nicole's daughter," EJ informed him. "I would like to adopt her as my daughter." "How wonderful!" Stefano beamed. "More grandchildren would be amazing!" "You have a half-brother and a half-sister," Nicole told Ophelia. "Max Brady and Melanie Layton." "Wow!" Ophelia's eyes lit up with happiness... Juliette Monroe waited impatiently at the Java Cafe. She had just received a frantic phone call from Ophelia that she had some wonderful news for her. Lucas Roberts had fired her from her job as a model at Hearth and Home, and her father had left on a business trip. She hated to know Ophelia had any good news in her life. She loved to see her sister down. She frowned as Ophelia arrived at the Java Cafe, pushing a baby stroller, and was with that bitch Nicole Walker. She hated her ever since she was kicked out of the DiMera mansion. "Why is that slut here?" Juliette seethed, glaring at Nicole. "That slut is our birth mother," Ophelia snapped at her. "Excuse me?" Juliette flipped out. She always she was adopted, but the thought of Nicole being her birth mother was too much to absorb. "I am your birth mother, young lady," Nicole glared at her. "Here is the paperwork." Juliette snatched it out of her hands, and her eyes widened in shock. "So, this doesn't change anything," Juliette informed her. "Ophelia, our mom died, and our dad is here." "Actually, Nicole is my mother and Dad kicked me out," Ophelia informed her. "I'm finished with him. EJ is going to adopt me as his daughter." "This is so stupid," Juliette rolled her eyes. "Why would you even consider having her as your mother? She's pathetic!" "Stop being rude to my mother!" Ophelia shrieked. "We're done," Juliette stood up. "I hate you Ophelia!" She slammed out of the Java Cafe, and Ophelia saw tears in her mother's eyes. "I'm sorry Mom," Ophelia assured her, and she hugged her. "Don't worry about her. She's a rude person." "But she is still my daughter," Nicole cried, as Ophelia looked up to see a handsome man and a beautiful red-haired girl walk into the coffee shop. "Ophelia, there is your brother and sister." "Really?" Ophelia's eyes lit up. Ophelia hesitated. She was a bit nervous. "Max?" Nicole called to him, and he turned to her. "Yeah?" he replied, annoyed Nicole Kiriakis was talking to him. "This is your sister, Ophelia," Nicole blurted out, and Max's eyes clouded over. "Excuse me?" Max rolled his eyes. "No offense to you, but how are you my sister?" "Read this," Nicole took out her birth certifercates for the twins, and Max's eyes widened. He looked at Ophelia carefully. "Wow Nicole, this is crazy," Max looked at Ophelia. "We share the same father. Our father is dead." "Yeah, Mom told me," Opehlia smiled at Max. "I'm Ophelia. Nice to meet you." "Hey," Max smiled at her. "This is your sister Melanie. Hey Mel!" "What?" Melanie walked over to them. "This is Ophelia, our sister," Max introduced them. "Nicole had twins with our father." "How old are you?" Melanie asked Ophelia. "19," Ophelia replied, and Melanie frowned. "I'm 18," Melanie replied, and she smiled. "I'm Melanie. I'm not the most liked person around her, but it would be nice to have an older sister in my corner." "I'm Ophelia," she smiled. "I would love to get know both of you." "Ophelia?" Melanie raised her eyebrow. "Interesting name. Nicole, was that the name you and Daddy picked?" "No, actually," Nicole smiled. "I picked something more feminine. Your name was Charlotte." "Mom, that's such a pretty name," Ophelia smiled at her. "Do you think I could change my name?" "If you would like," Nicole smiled at her, and her eyes widened large. "Honey, I'm home," Trent Robbins announced, as he walked into the Java Cafe, from the dead, as Nicole's eyes widened in fear, Ophelia watched as Melanie fainted, and Max's face grew angry... |
